Hi Teresa,

If you’re reading this, I want to start by saying something that often goes unsaid:

You made it.

Through a year that may have stretched you, softened you, changed you,  you are here.  And January doesn’t need you to reinvent yourself or rush into resolutions. It simply invites you to rest after surviving.

Whether your loss is fresh or familiar, visible or invisible, this space is for you.

What This Season Is Asking of Us

January often arrives with noise  new year, new goals, new you.
But grief moves at a different pace.

This season isn’t asking you to be better, stronger, or more motivated.
It’s asking you to notice what survival cost you… and to gently begin restoring what was depleted.

Renewal doesn’t begin with effort.
It begins with permission.

There is a sacred pause between what has been endured and what is yet to unfold.

Scripture reminds us that God restores not by force, but by presence and meets us in the quiet places where we are tired, tender, and unsure. Even now, nothing about you is behind or broken. You are exactly where grace can reach you.

If it helps, place a hand over your heart and breathe slowly for a moment. Let yourself be held here.

A reminder that renewal often comes through the pressing and that something new is being formed, even now.

Restoration Check-In

You don’t need to fix anything. Simply notice.

This month, you might gently check in with yourself by asking:

☐ Where do I feel most depleted right now?

☐ What am I still carrying that no longer feels mine to hold?

☐ What would feel restorative — not productive — this month?

☐ Where can I offer myself more compassion instead of pressure?

☐ What would “enough” look like right now?

There are no right answers. Awareness itself is healing.

If it feels supportive, reflect on this:

“What part of me is asking to be restored — not improved — as this year begins?”

Write slowly. Pause often. Let honesty lead.

If You’re Longing for Support

Upcoming In-Person Opportunities for Support and Healing

Chesterfield, MO and Collinsville, IL

If January feels heavier than expected, you don’t have to walk it alone.

This month, I’m gently inviting those who feel ready into spaces designed for restoration, reflection, and support — including my small-group healing circles and Grief Recovery Method programs. These aren’t about “moving on,” but about lightening what you’re carrying.

If something stirred as you read this, trust that nudge.

P.S. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting, it means making space for life again. If your heart is ready, this program offers a proven path forward.    More Details   You’re always welcome to reach out.

If your heart feels ready, I invite you to take the next step and join one of these spaces. You don’t have to do this alone.

May this month meet you softly.
May restoration come in ways you don’t have to force.
May you feel held by God, by grace, and by the quiet knowing that survival was not the end of your story.
